It feels like the world has turned upside down over these past few weeks. New words have entered our vocabulary- corona virus, Covid-19 and social distancing. Our common everyday dust mask the N95 has turned into a scarce commodity. We can not hug and visit with our friends and family. It feels like our world is standing still. It all feels overwhelming and uncertain.
There are, however, a couple of things I know for sure. Those of us who own small businesses have an inward drive that keeps us working, creating and readjusting. For many of us who make things for a living we feel compelled to use our hands and minds to create things. Even when there is not a financial incentive.
Tom and I are trying to keep on our schedule. We still set our alarm for 6:30. We find exercising helps calm us. We still go to our studio. We are the only ones there so social distancing is not a problem. Staying focused and motivated is a challenge. We are grateful everyday for all we have.
